Baltimore

Baltimore is a great city to explore! With its different areas like the Inner Harbor, Fells Point, and Little Italy, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Below is a basic guide to the city we created during our stay. Some of these we tried, others were recommended to us. Either way, there is a lot to choose from to keep you busy.

Due to the seasonal changes, some attractions and places are not available or accessible all year round. The professional sports teams such as the Ravens and Orioles only play in their stadiums during their in-season. Certain exhibits in the museums also change throughout the year.

  • Parking is expensive and hard to find in Baltimore. You can take the Lightrail in from Cromwel Station in Glen Burnie. It is the closest station to Odenton and takes you right into the city. The station is about twenty minutes from Odenton and only costs $3.20 roundtrip (as of summer 2009).
  • Check any of the area college's "Upcoming Events" to see concerts, festivals, or events. A lot of the schools host popular artist's concerts and social events at their venues that require no form of specific college ID. Also check out their sports schedule.
  • Camden Yards, the Orioles Stadium, has Student Night every Friday night homegame. Admission is only $6.00 and is always packed with students. After the game, Pickles Pub is the place to be for anyone 21 or over.
