Interns
Linemark has had an internship program for the past few years. Previous interns stem from either Clemson University or Rochester Institue of Technology. Clemson interns major in Graphic Communications and are selected through Clemson's Intern Employer Day. These interns work closely with the sales and customer relations department. RIT students are selected by Tom Thayer, Linemark employee and RIT graduate, and work in the technology and e-business department.
Both internships offer a hands-on experience that allow students to use their knowledge and learn at the same time.. Interns learn about all aspects of the printing business from the sales office to the press room; it is all relative. After learning about the company and the workflow, each intern is expected to fulfill their delegated responsibility in thier departments. They may be asked to fill in for absent employees or help design a new company calendar.These experiences will help students in the real work field after graduating college.
